Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitiors at corporate and/or remote premises.
The incumbent will protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
Also act in a team lead capacity, handling difficult situations, mentoring junior staff and orienting/training new hires.

Responsibilities:
o Answer incoming calls of security concerns and identify next steps to address the concern or help direct to the best point of contacto Assist company managers in security and investigative matters.
o Conduct counter-intelligence investigations; prepare formal reports of investigation results and related recommendations.
o Conduct quarterly evaluation of each position to evaluate how employees are following procedures.
o Conduct routine monitoring of facilities, campus buildings and/or parking lots in person or by video surveillance to identify and resolve any violations, issues, or concerns; report to management as appropriate.
o Conduct training (1/30/60/90 day) for new security staff to ensure all training is understood and benchmarks are being met; monitor completion and conduct re-training if needed.
o Continually update security contact information.
o Detect and deter Competitive Intelligence Solution (CIS) and Competitive Response Solution (CRS) activities.
o Grant access to employees and visitors entering building, validate credentials upon arrival and make temporary/permanent badges as needed.
o Identify, investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents or suspicious activities; record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures for statements given.
o Implement and adhere to security systems, technologies, operating standards and procedures; continually monitor existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.
o Maintain and update training materials for all security positions within department.
o Monitor and respond to emails received through department email groups.

o Monitor remote sites via cameras and call boxes to identify and report any suspicious or out of place activity; communicate with internal and external personnel on the phone or through email to resolve any concerns/issues.
o Monitor security processes and provide recommendations to management on improvement opportunities.
o Oversee security's use of video surveillance equipment.
o Perform security patrols and enforcing identification procedures for employees and visitors.
o Prepare, disseminate, and follow up on security assessments.
o Provide desk coverage for other security staff if needed.
o Provide security measures and assistance to employees and visitors when incidents occur.
o Respond to medical events as needed.
o Support the prevention program by analyzing and distributing source information, serving as a liaison, forecasting issues, identifying threats and recommending counter-measures.
o Work alongside the Investigations team to gather initial details regarding new claims for prompt resolution and provide communication to key stakeholders regarding updates on the claim.
o Work with law enforcement agencies (local, state and federal) and remain compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2 or more years of security-related experience and/or training; ability to pass a background checkCPR Certification.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
